A welcome from the organizers
On behalf of the Italian Society for Histochemistry (SII), it is our great pleasure to invite you to the 17th International Congress of Histochemistry and Cytochemistry which will be held in Rimini, Italy, from August 27 – 30, 2025. This is the first time that this International Congress is organized in Italy, and this is a great honor and privilege for SII.
Strategically positioned halfway between the north and south of Italy and as part of an extensive network of transport links, Rimini is easy and convenient to reach both from Italian destinations and from abroad. The city, with its blend of history and modernity, will provide an ideal environment to foster the exchange of ideas and networking among researchers, clinicians, and students from across Italy and beyond. The Congress Venue, the PalaCongressi of Rimini, will offer a friendly environment, barrier-free facilities, 2 wide rooms (250 seats/each) for plenary and parallel sessions and a huge exhibition area for posters and companies interested in contributing their valuable knowledge and financial support.
The Board of SII has dedicated significant effort to identifying and contacting prestigious researchers to serve as keynote and invited speakers for this important event as well as Italian societies like GIC (Italian Society of Cytometry), GISN (Italian Group for the Study of Neuromorphology) and SIBS (Italian Society of Experimental Biology) for organizing joint sessions. Furthermore, all member societies of the IFSHC have been actively reached out to define and expand the Congress program. A particular mention must go to The Histochemical Society and to the Society for Histochemistry for their active contribution in organizing sessions. With a focus on ensuring a high-caliber scientific program, the team has successfully formulated a comprehensive agenda that includes plenary sessions, workshops, thematic panels, and poster sessions addressing the latest advancements in histochemistry and cytochemistry applied to medicine, biology, nanotechnology and artificial intelligence.
The involvement of IFSHC member societies is highly encouraged and appreciated, and we warmly invite interested societies to contribute by chairing workshops or sessions and by submitting abstracts as posters or oral communications. Those interested in chairing sessions and workshops are welcome to contact the SII Secretariat at info@istochimica.it for further details.
Please, do not miss the chance to explore the picturesque city of Rimini with its unique atmosphere and make opportunities for international collaboration. This will be an exciting chance for us to gather as a community and share the latest advancements in our fields.
Do help us in making this experience unforgettable!
We look forward to meeting you in Rimini at the end of August 2025!
