Italian Society of Histochemistry
Founded in 1958, the Italian Society of Histochemistry is a free, non-political and non-profit Cultural Association open to all followers of Histochemistry to whatever discipline they belong. The Society endeavors to promote the organization of conferences, seminars, round table discussions, specialized courses, including practical-applicative courses, in order to expand the dissemination of scientific information, to create contacts and links with other groups and similar associations in Italy and abroad.
The Italian Society adheres, as an official representative for Italy, to the International Federation of Societies for Histochemistry and Cytochemistry. Since its foundation in 1954, the European Journal of Histochemistry is the official organ of the Italian Society of Histochemistry.

The goal of International Congress of Histochemistry and Cytochemistry (ICHC), which is organized every four years, is to bring histochemists from all parts of the world together and provide an environment for fruitful cooperation and new collaborations.
The ICHC 2024 is organized in Rimini, Italy by the Italian Society of Histochemistry.
